PLEASURE HEADS MIDDLE MAN

There's been a smattering of exciting new bands coming of out Scotland over the last year or so, with Sweaty Palms, Breakfast Muff and ******* (The Drink) instantly spring to mind. Named after The Birthday Party track, '(Sometimes) Pleasure Heads Must Burn’, Pleasure Heads are the latest Scottish guitar band to catch our attention. Their brand new single on rising Glasgow label Public is a boisterous indie-rock meets punk track, steeped in youthful nostalgia. Anchored by singer Euan Purves' melodic yet gruff vocals, 'Middle Man's droning rhythm guitars and pounding drums provide the perfect setting to reminisce about the good times. Purves explains, “Middle Man is a snapshot of simpler times, getting together with friends, nervously waiting around shady corner shops, hoping the fake ID works and the carry out is claimed. Sat around makeshift campfires, drinking ourselves to merry abandon until the sun comes up.” -HLMX
